TRading at Belgrade's Stock Exchange in 2006 exceeded 1.2 billion EUR

The Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services of Serbia, Bojan Dimitrijević, stated that the total value of trading at the Belgrade Stock Exchange in 2006 had exceeded amount of 1.2 billion EUR, which represented growth by 108% against year 2005.

The trade in stocks worth 1 billion EUR contributed the most to that, because it represented the increase by 123% on annual basis, which is the highest level of trade in stocks at the Belgrade Stock Exchange ever.

- The growth of market capitalization of the Belgrade Stock Exchange in 2006 exceeded 37%, which points to the positive and expected further development of financial market in Serbia - said Dimitrijević.
