- The new voluntary pension fund in Serbia "NLB Nova penzija" has obtained the license for work from the National Bank of Serbia and will be put into operation in MArch 2007 - said the Manager of that fund Zvonko Cvek.

He expressed his expectation that 2% of the employed population in Serbia will be members of the Fund within next three years.

- Minimal amount of payment is 1,000 RSD - said Cvek and added that the plan is that the contracts be signed with each company, which will be followed by the trade in the invested money on the securities markets in Serbia and abroad.

According to the legislature in Serbia, it is allowed that 10% of total collected deposits be directed to the procurement of securities in other countries.

As the Head Coordinator of "NLB Nova penzija" in Serbia, Pavle Kobler, estimated, the incomes from the trade in securities will be twice as big as inflation, so that it will be one of the ways in which the deposits will be insured.

"NLB Nova penzija" is the fifth voluntary pension fund founded in Serbia. Its ownership structure includes Nova banka with the share of 51% and Joint Pension Fund with 26% of ownership. Share in ownership also has Continental banka from Novi Sad and NLB LHB bank from Belgrade, which own 11.5% each.
