"Serbian Railways" Director General Dragoljub Simonovic said on Monday (16 June 2014) that railway transport in Serbia will be normalized in the second half of the year.

On Monday Simonovic met with Montenegrin Minister of Transport Ivan Brajovic and informed him on recent flood damages on a few sections of the railway to Montenegro. "Rehabilitation is intensified and conducted in restricted procedures", says Ministry of Transport.

Simonovic and Brajovic discussed the increase of cooperation between "Serbian Railways" and companies of "Montecargo" and "Bar Port", as well as, better organization of passenger transport during summer and introduction of additional passenger cars on Bar – Belgrade line.

"Montecargo" company decided to donate its funds, previously aimed for the company’s anniversary, to "Serbian Railways", in order to remove catastrophic damages in flooded areas.
