Guenther Suher, the regional director for southeast Europe at the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, told Tanjug news agency that Serbia was one of the most important business partners of Austria, illustrating that with the information that the volume of trade between the two countries exceeds EUR 830 million with Austria's exports to Austria totaling 500 million euro.
- Even more impressive are the data about the investments of Austrian companies in Serbia. Austria is the largest investor in Serbia. Austrian companies have contributed a total of about EUR 3 million to the country to date - said Suher.
Suher noted that Austrian investments in Serbia mainly went to the energy sector, traffic infrastructure, ecology, metal and textile industries, and the innovation sector.
