Swisslion opens new EUR 7 million production facility in Nevesinje - Construction of Swisslion Trebinje 2 factory to start soon

Swisslion's majority owner Rodoljub Draskovic and Milorad Dodik, the president of the Republic of Srpska, opened Saturday (3 May 2014) in Nevesinje a new food factory that is going to employ in excess of 100 workers by the year's end, 24sata.info has reported.

After thanking Draskovic for investing millions in the implementation of this project which will mean a lot to that underdeveloped municipality, Dokid stressed that republic institutions would always provide support to that and similar companies. He pointed out that Herzegovina was becoming a strategic area for the development of the food industry in addition to the energy sector.

Draskovic reminded that Swisslion Trebinje had invested about 7 million euro from its own resources in the project. He added that he was very satisfied with the fact that the factory had been put into operation on schedule and that a large number of people of Nevesinje would get a job at the factory.

He announced that the implementation of one of the largest projects in the food industry in the past few years - the construction of over EUR 10 million worth of new factory called Swisslion Trebinje 2 - would commence in a month. This production facility should employ few hundred workers.
