A software called ASEPA, one of the most comprehensive system solutions for document management in the public sector that is developed by Serbian engineers working at the Asseco SEE company, won an award for the most innovative software at the prestigious IT show in Las Vegas organized by EMC, a world's leading data storage company. ASEPA is already successfully used in Serbia by the Republic Telecommunications Agency (RATEL), and this sophisticated solution is expected to be marketed in all countries across the region as well as around the world, Asseco said in a release.

- In order to develop an efficient software solution for document management in the public sector, we had to follow the most modern global practices in this field as well as to recognize real needs and requirements locally. Special attention was paid to the adaptation to the standards applicable in the European Union, considering that Serbia has already entered the process of European integration - Vladan Atanasijevic, a member of the Managing Board of Asseco SEE Srbija, said and added that "this award represents a great recognition for all Serbian engineers who worked on the ASEPA software as well as for the entire IT industry of Serbia, whose contribution to the Serbian economy is growing bigger every year".
