Novi Sad-based VNG participates in bridge construction in Norway

Novi Sad-based construction company VNG will participate in the construction of the second largest suspension bridge in Norway, the Embassy of Norway in Serbia announced in a release.

According to the website norveska.org.rs, VNG from Novi Sad and China's Sichuan Road and Bridge Group have won a EUR 1 million contract with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration.

This is one of the three main contracts for the construction of 1,533-meter bridge with the main span 1,145 meters long, which also includes the construction of access roads and tunnels and costs about EUR 350 million.

- This project is very interesting and the bridge is beautiful - Zorana Brankovic, the director of the Serbian construction company, said and added that the VNG company was ready to enter the Norwegian market and start building the bridge in the north of Norway in 2015.

The plan is to finish this bridge in 2017.

VNG has few years of international experience in bridge construction, and it was also in charge of the construction of Ada Bridge in Belgrade.
