All conditions met for privatization of Serbian Glass Factory in Paraćin
- Bulgarian glass factory "Rubin" from Pleven will be able to take over Serbian Glass Factory from Paraćin since the final condition has been met about out-of-court settlement with the workers who sued their company and requested payment according to the collective contract, jubilee award and regress - said the President of Independent Union of the glass factory Živojin Matejić.
The agreement on out-of-court settlement has been signed by almost all workers, that is, 99% of those who pressed charges against the factory. These workers have been paid nearly 130m RSD.
- The condition for privatization was that 90% of 3,800 present and former workers sign out-of-court settlement on the debt that company had towards them – Matejić explained.
The new owner plans to invest 25m EUR in the factory and to increase salaries that will be in accord with the growth of living expenses, as well as to approve favorable mortgage credits.
