Romanian "Cuprom" ready for negotiations about procurement of Mining Smeltery Basin "Bor"
Romanian company "Cuprom" is satisfied with the fact that it has been declared the first-ranked bidder on the tender for sale of Mining Smeltery Basin "Bor" and with the fact that the sale of that combine is carried out in professional and transparent way.
- We expect to become even more significant in this part of Europe after the privatization of RTB "Bor", because the integrated and consolidated production of copper will unite our neighboring capacities and serve as a base for the further growth and development - "Cuprom" announces.
The representatives of Romanian company point out that the offered price of 400m USD for takeover of Mining Smeltery Basin (RTB) is only a part of the sum that is set aside for that combine, because the additional investments into equipment and human resources are also part of the plan for creation of the leader of Serbia's economy.
The tender commission for sale of property and transfer of exploitation right of RTB "Bor" gave the deadline of 30 days to "Cuprom" to change the suggested sales contract. If it fails to do that, the negotiations will commence with the second-ranked bidder, the consortium made of Cyprus-based "East Point" and London-based Investment Fund ORN, which offered 340.1m USD for the Bor copper combine.
The third-ranked is company "Amalco" from Cyprus with the offered 288m USD for the property of RTB "Bor".
