Vrnjacka Banja gets ready to build aqua park and sports complex - Comprehensive Land Use Plan for Raj Sports Center presented
In any case, local authorities announced few days ago the most likely concept of Raj Sports Center that should comprise aforementioned aqua park. The Comprehensive Land Use Plan is currently on public display, and all those interested can take a look at it by March 14.
- The reason for the preparation of this document is the initiative of the Vrnjacka Banja municipality to offer land to investors for the construction of sports and recreational facilities - said the representatives of the Vrnjacka Banja Planning and Development Directorate that prepared the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
The zones covered by this document are as follows: sports and recreation, park and forest, and hotel zone.
As it was announced, when it comes to plans for further implementation of this project in the sports and recreation zone which accounts for 88 percent of the total area covered by the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, it is necessary to prepare urban designs that will cover the entire zone.
It was announced before that preliminary designs had already been prepared for the future aqua park and the accompanying sports center, and the most likely design of that complex is presented on the municipal website. According to that document, all facilities would cover a total of about 16 hectares (aqua park - 8 ha, sports fields - 8 ha). They would be situated in the location of current bus station and on the high plain above it. We are yet to see if the future investor will choose that preliminary design as the final one.
