City of Nis sells its stake in AIK banka
The City Council of Nis adopted January 31st a proposal to sell a stake in AIK banka and forwarded it to the city aldermen for adoption.
According to the City Council's proposal, the stake in AIK banka will also be put up for sale by the City Housing Agency.
The City of Nis and the City Housing Agency hold 25,600 ordinary (voting) shares each. Given the current share price on the stock exchange, the total value of their stakes is about RSD 82 million.
Nis Mayor Zoran Perisic and his assistant Radan Ilic told the press that now was a good moment to sell AIK banka shares because Miodrag Kostic's MK Group was buying them in a bid to become the majority owner of that bank.
