Radojica Rovcanin named new director of Air Traffic Control
At the proposal of the Serbian government, the Supervisory Board of Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Services (SMATSA) has relieved Acting Director Slobodan Cvijan of duty and appointed Radojica Rovcanin from Belgrade as the director of SMATSA.
Rovcanin, who was born 29 May 1953, graduated from the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, SMATSA said in a release. He was working at JAT for 25 years as air traffic controller, technician, sales representative, deputy director of domestic traffic and, finally, as director.
Rovcanin was also market director, director of regional traffic and commercial affairs adviser to the general manager. He is coming to SMATSA from the Traffic Safety Agency where he was the head of the Department of General and Legal Affairs and deputy director.
The new director of SMATSA speaks English and Russian.
