Agrokor and banks reach agreement on Mercator chain - Capital hike of EUR 200 million

The Agrokor group and Mercator's creditor banks have reached an agreement in principle according to which Agrokor is recapitalize the Slovenian retailer with EUR 200 million when taking it over, the Slovenian TV station A-kanal announced Monday without revealing the source of this information.
As announced, in line with the agreement, EUR 100 million of aforementioned capital hike would be immediately transferred to banks in order to reduce Mercator's debt, whereas the remaining EUR 100 million would be paid to Mercator's suppliers.

According to A-kanal, Agrokor offers to purchase Mercator shares at a price of between 90 and 105 euros, which is much above their current price on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, where Mercator shares are priced at about EUR 70.
