Serbia gets EUR 187.7 million under the EU IPA program
The European Commission today granted EUR 187.7 million under the Instruments for Pre-Accession Assistance program to Serbia to help the reform of the judicial system and local self-government in the country.
- This has been a historic year for Serbia's relations with the EU - EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule said in a press release, reminding that the Stabilization and Association Agreement had become effective in 2013 and that Serbia had got the start date for accession talks with the EU this year.
Including the new grant, the EU has allocated a total of EUR 2.6 billlion to Serbia under the IPA program since 2001.
