Vibac starts building factory for producing industrial packaging tapes in Jagodina - Investment to reach EUR 70 million

On Wednesday (18 Decemer 2013), Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic attended a ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the Italian factory Vibac in the industrial zone in Jagodina for producing industrial packaging tapes of the latest generation, it was announced on the website of the Serbian government.

On that occasion, Dacic pointed to the importance of this new investment in Jagodina, stressing that it would enable the employment of 450 workers, the release on the Serbian government`s website reads.

He also congratulated Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic on his hard work on bringing foreign investors to that municipality.

Apart from Dacic and Markovic, the ceremony of laying the foundation stone was also attended by Vibac Director Patricio Masini, Transportation Minister Aleksandar Antic, Serbian PM`s Adviser for National Issues Ivica Toncev, and the aldermen of Jagodina. Masini explained that that factory would be Vibac`s largest one.

- The value of this investment totals EUR 70 million, and about 90 percent of production will be exported - said Masini.
