Serbia to obtain modern Congress Bureau soon, aid from abroad

- The Manager of the International Tourism Fair EIBTM in Barcelona, Pol Kenedi, offered help to Serbia for the development of the Congress Bureau and the establishment of contacts with the most important congress organizers - the Minister of Trade and Tourism, Bojan Dimitrijević, stated.

He said that Serbia had participated in this type of fair for the first time, but that it would do so on regular basis in the future, and he pointed out that all the preparations were finished for the start of operations of the Congress Bureau, which will, in the beginning, operate as a part of the Tourism Organization of Serbia (TOS).

Miodrag Popović, the Manager of TOS, said that TOS had received the offer from the European Congress Bureau, "Eurocongress", to become the member of that organization, which would enable the presentation of Serbia's congress offer on that bureau's stand and on those stands where TOS would not be present. Serbia's offer would also be present on that Bureau's website, and TOS would also have access to Eurocongress' database.

Popović said that the Congress of gynecology oncologists with 1,800 participants would be organized at the Fair in Belgrade in 2009, which he arranged with the representative of Swiss company that deals with organization of international congresses "Kenes internacional". In addition, the representatives of French "Atos consulting" agreed on organization of five-day stimulative travel to Serbia for 120 persons in May 2007.
