Emirati want to have solar power plant built in Cacak - G.I.D.C. interested in public-private partnership

A Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the construction of solar power plant in Prelici with a firm majority owned by a company from the United Arab Emirates was accepted Monday (9 December 2013) at a session of the City Council of Cacak.
Cacak Deputy Mayor Radenko Lukovic presented the MoU on Cooperation between the City of Cacak and G.I.D.C, an UAE company engaged in the development of industrial and infrastructure projects. In that company, Serbia holds a 30 percent stake, whereas 70 percent of shares are in the possession of Global Capital Advisors Management from the Emirates.

Aforementioned solar power plant should be built on the site of the former sanitary landfill Prelici.

The first step is to prepare a feasibility study.

Cacak has promised to help the company get all necessary consents and permits to implement the project.

Opinion about this MoU will also be given by the aldermen of Cacak at their session on Friday, December 13th.
