The final version of amendments to the Labor Law does not stipulate the establishment of an employee leasing agency, which was one of the main objections made by trade unions that announce participation in a public discussion which is due to begin in about ten days.
Ljubisav Orbovic, president of the Association of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia (SSSS), said that proposed solutions had reached that union on Monday, adding that the draft contained many provisions amended in line with the objections made by trade unions.
- We still need to thoroughly review proposed amendments to the Labor Law and discuss them before we give our final opinion - said Orbovic.
As State Secretary of the Labor Ministry Zoran Martinovic told Tanjug news agency, the public discussion may begin December 18th given it takes time to prepare it properly.
The public discussion can last for minimum 20 days, after which the draft of amendments to the Labor Law will be first forwarded to the Social and Economic Council for review and then to competent ministries as well, Martinovic stressed.
