Construction of cloverleaf across Belgrade's Hippodrome to start at end of Summer 2007
The Manager of City of Belgrade, Bojan Stanojević, pointed out that the construction of the cloverleaf across Belgrade's Hippodrome should commence at the end of Summer 2007, which would represent the first phase of construction of the new bridge across Ada Ciganlija.
- We expect that the construction of bridge would start in mid-2008. That is the project that requires minimum of 3-4 years for preparations. However, the most important thing is that the money is provided – Stanojević pointed out.
According to his words, the preparations for the contract signing with the company that will implement the project are in progress at the moment. That will be a big world company, but the city authorities do not want to reveal which one, since the tender for that job has not been closed yet.
- It should be said that, in accordance with the Law, the domestic companies will have priority in the works on construction of access roads – Stanojević explains.
