Agreement on Chinese loan for Obrenovac-Ljig stretch confirmed

Serbian lawmakers confirmed Tuesday (26 November 2013) several agreements and contracts, including the one signed with China's Export-Import Bank regarding a USD 301 million loan for the construction of the Obrenovac-Ljig highway stretch.
The interest rate is at 2.5 percent per year, the grace period is five years, whereas the repayment period is 15 years.

The Parliament of Serbia also confirmed Annex 2 to the Agreement signed with the Chinese government on economic and technical cooperation in infrastructure development, as well as the agreements on cooperation in rail transport that Serbia signed with the governments of Russia and Ukraine.

MP's also confirmed the European Agreement on Main Inland Waterways of International Importance as well as an agreement on strategic economic cooperation with the Canadian Commercial Corporation.

Furthermore, they confirmed an air transport agreement with the Australian government, an agreement on international road transport of passengers and goods with Slovakia, and a double taxation avoidance agreement with Morocco.
