Backi Petrovac to see pellet production plant - Business Park attracts more and more domestic and foreign investors

In three years, Business Park Backi Petrovac succeeded in attracting eight investors, two of them foreign. The last investor who arrived should start the pellets production.

- An investor from Ukraine came who, together with a Slovenian partner, did a trial series and soon they should soon start production of straw pellets. Products from our Biopel plant are for export –Aleksandar Ostojic, director of Business Park Backi Petrovac says for eKapija.

Our collocutor mentions that the halls within the complex can be bought and rented but he points out that the market terms are such as they are so companies more often opt for renting.

- Business Park Backi Petrovac is the first private industrial zone. We are very pleased with current development.

We are ready also for mutual cooperation on the construction of necessary office space, we have 8,000 m2 of designed projects now.

Our collocutor mentions that renovation of existing facilities is in progress so that they will be ready for the next season.

Ostojic says that they provide a wide range of business and technical services for companies available at convenient prices.

- Businessmen in the complex should only think about their work. We provide meeting rooms, security service, video surveillance, grass maintenance, snow cleaning. It is cheaper to run business in a business park than in the case a company gets a hall for free. For example, the company needs a space of 500 m2. In order to have security service for 24 h, they need four people with at least minimal wages. If the company opts for us, it will have a security for EUR 0,1 per m2, i.e. it will get security for EUR 5 and rent for EUR 1,5 per square meter. Altogether, it will be cheaper than paying security at some other location.

Business park Backi Petrovac occupies 25 ha, at the location of the formerly successful plant for broom production and up till now, Agro Grnja, I.R.A.L., God-eksport, Teleoptik, Inox bravarija, Mitus, Vojmedical, Biopel have found their place here.

Representatives of the Business Park say they have excellent cooperation with the Backi Petrovac municipality. Mutual appearance at the Investment Fair in Novi Sad proves it.
