RADULOVIC: About 300 investors eye companies in Serbia
Minister Sasa Radulovic says that about 300 investors have so far expressed interest in the companies whose ID cards are published on the website of the Economy Ministry, adding that all these requests are now being processed.
Radulovic specified in a statement to the press that the list included 153 companies undergoing reorganization, 419 are in the portfolio of the Privatization Agency, 911 are partially owned by the state, and 545 are public companies in bankruptcy.
As he stressed, it is in the interest of the state to offer clean companies not only to foreign investors, but also to local ones because the local industry is crucial considering that foreign investors come to a country only when they know that the environment is good for local companies.
Radulovic also pointed out that there were some investors interested in Zelezara Smederevo steelworks, but he did not want to reveal their names.
