Italian Government soon to offer new credit line worth 1 billion RSD to entrepreneurs in Serbia

- Of approved 2.5 billion RSD worth of credits of Italian Government to small and mid-sized enterprises in Serbia, about 1 billion RSD have been used so far and 200 new jobs have been created - said the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), Radovan Jelašić, on the occasion of the visit to the company for glass processing "Pavle" in Pančevo.

Jelašić reminded that the Italian Government had approved credit in amount of about 32.2m EUR for the entrepreneurs in Serbia in mid-2005 and that they stated precisely that that credit was used by 36 enterprises.

The credit is approved with the repayment period of 8 years with the annual nominal interest rate of 4.9%. NBS was the agent for distribution of means through Banca Intesa and Komercijalna banka.

Italian ambassador, Alesandro Merola, expressed his belief that Italian Government would soon approve new credit line for small and mid-sized enterprises in Serbia in amount of 1 billion RSD.
