First chargers for electric cars in Serbia - Vehicles running on electricity soon in Pancevo
Pancevo will soon become the first local self-government to have seven vehicles running on electricity in its possession, along with the first public charging station for electric cars, Politika reported Wednesday.
As City Councilor Vladimir Delja told Politika, a gift of the Italian province of Ravena should arrive in Pancevo by end-October.
Pancevo expects to get two two-seaters, one Renault Kangoo and four bicycles equipped with electric motor from Italy.
This donation from Italy also includes the first charging station for electric cars in Serbia, which will be supplied with electricity from public grid as well as from alternative sources. Namely, the plan is to install a wind generator and solar panels to generate additional energy.
