New strategy for supporting entrepreneurship to be implemented soon

Assistant Minister of Commerce, Nina Samardzic, has announced today that new strategy for supporting entrepreneurship for the period 2014-2020 will be completed in month and a half.
At the Chamber of Commerce, at Assembly 'Challenges and Support to Small and Medium-sized Companies in Serbia', Ms Samardzic said that the plan was to have the Government of Serbia adopting the strategy by the end of the year and that at the same time they are preparing action plan for promotion of business surroundings.
-This will be an extensive document with deadlines for realization and precise examples of how we are going to measure our results relating legal and business surroundings, she said.
According to her words, it is important to adjust the strategy for supporting entrepreneurship for the period 2014-2020 with the new phase in IPA funding.
-The goal is to make a strategy that would show the present situation which would be approved by the government, public and corporate parties, added Samardzic.
Important segment is still easier access to finances to entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium sized companies, as well as development of new financial instruments.
Samardzic added that one part of the strategy will also be access to new markets, including suppliers and producers chain, and to involve domestic producers so they can become suppliers of bigger systems.
Assistant Minister also announced regulatory reform, through changes in regulations at local and national levels, so it would be clearer, shorter and more efficient.
This strategy will also support women entrepreneurship and there will also be given institutional support to development of entrepreneurship through supporting innovations.
Ministry of Commerce will finalize existing strategy for development of small and medium sized companies, which the Government adopted for the period of 2008 to 2013.
