Croatia's Belupo to build new pharmaceutical plant in Koprivnica
Belupo, a pharmaceutical company operating as part of the Podravka Group, will be building a new pharmaceutical plant in Koprivnica.
Implementation of this project is expected to start as early as next year. If trial production gives good results, production at full capacity will begin 2016, Hina news agency reports.
Belupo has confirmed that it will build a new plant because its microbiological laboratory and two existing facilities for producing solid and semi-solid drugs, creams, lubricants and gels are not enough to meet the demand for pharmaceutical drugs in 16 European markets.
The new pharmaceutical plant will boost the company's production capacity by a third, Belupo said in a release. The plan is to invest about 55 percent of the revenue generated last year - approximately HRK 500 million - over the next four years.
