Slaviša Zlatanović, the manager of the Building Directorate of Serbia and a member of the Project Team of the National Investment Plan, says that 4,000 apartment will be built in Serbia in year and half and that 5,000 workers from the building work group and related branches will be hired for these works.
It is already known that both Niš and Belgrade will host three big building sites with 2,500 apartments each, Novi Sad will get two building sites, whereas Kragujevac will obtain 180 new apartments. The price per square meter will range from 350 EUR in Medveđa to 850 EUR in Belgrade.
Financial structure for construction of these apartments have been provided and the tenders for selection of contractors are in progress. According to Zlatanović's words, the priorioty will be given to domestic companies, that is, local companies.
- Public works have the role to start the domestic work group and we will not give up that idea, but it must be known that the price and quality of works will be of crucial importance. There will be no doubt - Zlatanović explains and points out that the deadlines must be respected, because "the most expensive job is the one that is not finished".
