IMT starts exporting tractors to Kazakhstan

Production of IMT tractors which should be exported to Kazakhstan started and within a month 15 tractors are expected to be delivered to that country, said General Manager of Industry of Machines and Tractors (IMT), Zoran Radosavljevic said on Thursday, July 18, 2013.

- In the next 30 days, we are expecting first 15 tractors to be delivered to Kazakhstan. IMT is planning to export tractors to this country and other ex Soviet countries, to present them and to try to place machinery such as plows, planting machines and trailers, i.e. everything that is necessary to do the work with IMT tractors to these markets - he said for Tanjug.

Radosavljevic met the Azov Aral Agromash representatives from Kazakhstan, with whom IMT previously agreed this job totaling between EUR 6,5 and eight million.

- For IMT, the job with Kazakhstan is just the beginning of export jobs this company is trying to get and I think we will succeed in it because apart from the neighboring countries such as Hungary, Greece, Slovenia and Croatia, we are expanding export to IMT's traditional market, South America- Radosavljevic said.

He pointed out that serious talks are already in progress with companies from Ecuador and that he is hoping that by the end of 2013, IMT will succeed in specific agreements when it comes to export of tractors.

Radosavljevic says that for IMT African countries are a solid base and an option for placement of tractors since the market is huge.

Representative of Kazakhstan-based Azov-Aral Agromash, Pavel Sudars, said for Tanjug that this project of IMT tractors exports is a very interesting solution "because tractors from Serbia can operate well in Kazakhstan and will demonstrate all their advantages".

He said the plan is to deliver IMT tractors to Kazakhstan in August but also that the delegation of Serbian experts who will present these tractors should come to Kazakhstan company headquarters in Kyzylorda.

IMT agreed with Kazakhstan-based company to deliver between 200 and 300 tractors to Kazakhstan in the next 12 months.
