Government takes over Simpo?
After the publication of the the biggest tax debtors list, upon the payment collection, inspectors will put most of the pressure to active businesses and entrepreneurs because other debtors are undergoing restructuring or bankruptcy process.
It has been speculated that the government will take over the biggest active tax debtor, Simpo, although the company still does not know anything about these plans of the government.
- We are expecting a call from the Ministry of Finance with respect to problem solving. We have been settling debts on our own until the beginning of 2011 and the employees are still receiving their health insurance - General Manager, Sladjan Disic, said.
He also says that this decision does not state coincide with the conclusion of the Government as of February 2010 which anticipated that the government committed to pay taxes and contributions of Simpo until privatization ends.
