Organic products from Serbia now in EU market as well
Organic Control System (OCS) from Subotica is officially the only domestic control organization in Serbia to have received a permit from the European Commission to certify organic products for direct export from Serbia to the EU market.
This means that Serbia now has the green light to directly export and market organic products from Serbia in the EU without any additional documentation and permits.
This will significantly accelerate and facilitate the export of domestic organic products, improve economic efficiency and increase the competitiveness of Serbian organic products in the EU market, it is pointed out in an OCS release.
OCS has been engaged in the certification of organic production since 2003, and today supervises 155 manufacturers of organic products, most of which export to the highly demanding market of the EU.
