Ivanjica-based plant Matis to hire another 50 staff in new plant
Ivanjica-based Matis will, after it finished new plant for furniture production, expand its product line and hire another 50 people, said the company owner, Dragomir Lazovic, to Tanjug.
- The construction of the plant which will produce furniture, work is in progress and we are planning to finish it so that we could launch another part of the product line to the market – Lazovic said.
According to his words, the plant, currently employing 405 staff and produces kitchen furniture, is oriented towards export. Therefore, its products are available in ex-Yu countries, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Austria, Russian,Belorussia and Cyprus.
- We mostly achieved export plans, i.e. satisfied production process, we have some 10% of free capacity but we pay attention to where, when and whom we sell goods to because our commercial policy implies that we do not give to the same buyer more than 5 % of total gross product – he added, pointing out this way they keep and expand the market.
Another 50 staff from the Ivanjica municipality should be employed this year.
Lazovic was awarded as the most successful businessman in Ivanjica. He pointsout that he owns it that to his maximum engagement and hard work of the companyand adds that it is just the confirmation of everything done in the previousperiod.
- We did a lot for our municipality andcompany as well as for the entire environment – he estimated.
According to the 2012 financial report, last year Matis generated net profit ofRSD 184 mil and it was categorized as big legal entity.
Matis company was founded in January 2003.
