Energy Ministry announces electricity price increase for May or June

The price of electricity can be expected to go up within the next month or two, Minister of Energy, Development and Environment Protection Zorana Mihajlovic told Tanjug news agency.
She did not specify the percentage of increase, but she stressed that the new price would be set by the Energy Agency at the proposal of the Electric Power Company of Serbia (EPS), that is, the Public Supply Enterprise within that company.
The minister also announced that the new tariff system was expected to be applied as of late 2013 or early 2014, when the government's Energy Efficiency Fund should start operating as well.
