Privatization of NIS got "green light"
- Yesterday (September 14, 2006), the Government of Serbia approved the starting of initiative for privatization of NIS and agreed on sale of 25% of assets of that company -said the Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo.
He added that it was confirmed that the privatization of the national oil company would be in accordance with the Strategy for privatization of NIS, which had been adopted by the Government two months before.
- The obligation of the strategic partner to carry out additional capitalization, i.e. to realize necessary quick investment in NIS, will be continued right away, so that we could keep pace with the most developed oil companies in our surroundings – said Bubalo.
