Ivan Simic to assume position of Director of Serbia's Tax Administration on February 1st
Ivan Simic will assume the position of Director of the Tax Administration of Serbia on February 1st, the Tax Administration said in a release today.
The Serbian government appointed Simic as the acting director of the Tax Administration in mid-December 2012.
- With the arrival of Simic, the long-announced thorough reorganization of the tax administration will begin. The aim is to make the entire system for filing tax returns and collecting taxes more efficient, to adapt tax rates to the incomes of taxpayers, and to make the coverage better and fairer by charging higher taxes to those with higher revenues - the release reads.
