First European CSR Award Scheme open for entries until 14 February 2013
The First European CSR Award Scheme is currently open for entries in Serbia. The competition is open for SMEs or large companies which, through collaboration with non-profit partners, whether a single organization or multiple stakeholders, have created positive social or business change. European CSR Partnership Award competition can be entered with projects regarding any of the four key CSR areas: workplace, market, environment and community, Smart Kolektiv said in a release.
December 3rd, 2012 marked the official launch of Europe’s first ever European CSR Award Scheme - an EU funded CSR Award Programme. The overall aim of the European CSR Partnership Award scheme is to give higher visibility to CSR excellence and raise global awareness on the positive role that business can play in society, bring the best European CSR multistakeholder projects into focus, enhance the exchange of CSR best practice across Europe, encourage CSR collaboration between enterprises and stakeholders and create innovative solutions to tackle sustainability issues.
The European CSR Partnership Award Scheme is implemented in 28 countries, with the support of the European Commission. The consortium implementing the Award Scheme consists of 29 organisations, co-led by CSR Europe and Business in the Community.
There are two categories in the National Award of this overall European CSR Award Scheme in Serbia- partnerships involving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and partnerships involving large companies. Projects will be assessed by an independent judging panel, consisting of representatives of the business sector, public and international institutions, and non-profit organisations. The European CSR Partnership Award in Serbia is open for entries from December 14th, 2012 until February 14th, 2013, and it is implemented by Smart Kolektiv – national partner of CSR Europe, and Business Leaders Forum - coalition of socially responsible companies in Serbia.
Winning projects will be celebrated at the national ceremony in April 2013, and in the European ceremony hosted by the European Commission, which will take place in Brussels in June 2013. On this occasion, representatives of the Commission will present national winners from 28 participating countries with Award certificates.
