Big international IT company, Hermes SoftLab, starts to invest in Serbia

As Ekapija finds out, the famous Serbian software company Virtual team, the winner of prestigious Microsoft awards, will become a part of the regional leader in the development of software solutions - stock company Hermes SoftLab Ljubljana (www.hermes.si), the multinational whose main stockholders are the investment funds from Switzerland, Japan, as well as European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development (EBRD) and numerous private stockholders from many countries.

Hermes SoftLab is a great partner of companies such as Hewlett Packard, Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, Tibco and Vodafone and, after many years of business cooperation with Virtual Team, they became the minority owner of Serbian IT company in August 2005 and now the project for full integration of Serbian company into the big international group will be entered, so that Virtual Team will even change the name into Hermes SoftLab Ltd. Kragujevac.

Hermes SoftLab evaluated the work of the former management of the Kragujevac company as excellent, so that the same management led by Vladan Atanasijević will continue to run the company, as well as existing and new projects.

In addition to the headquarters in Kragujevac, the office in Belgrad will be opened soon, but the dominant task of the company in Serbia is to produce software that will be marketed on the third markets, which is the business model of Hermes SoftLab, which realizes 80% of its incomes on the markets of Germany, USA, Austria and Ireland.

The promotion of this project will be held at the Investment Fair INVEST EXPO 06, which will be held in Kragujevac on September 6 and 7, 2006.
