NOVAKOVIĆ: Privatizaton of nationalized property must be stopped at once

The Privatizaton Board of the Parliament of Serbia appealed to the Ministry of Economy and the Privatization Agency to stop further privatizaton of companies that manage nationalized property.

The Head of that Board, Nikola Novaković, explained that the sale of that property was continued although the Privatization Board estimated on April 5, 2004, that "the mistake was made with the former owners of the nationalized property and that mistake must be corrected by passing the law on restitution".

The Privatization Board discussed about the confiscated property on two occasions in 2004 and it made the identical recommendations that "the injustice to former owners must be corrected".
