Serbia expects investment boom in Autumn 2006 and in Spring 2007

The Minister of Capital Investments, Velimir Ilić, stated that Serbia had become one large building site because, roads, factories, facilities of public utility infrastructure and social standard were being built all over the territory of the Republic.

Soon, according to Ilić, the offers will be announced for the construction of Horgoš-Požega highway, which will later be continued toward the South Adriatic.

- There will also be works on highway Niš-Dimitrovgrad highwat and Grdelica-Macedonian Border, for which the Greeks are prepared to set aside 100m EUR - Ilić specified.

- Beška-Novi Sad highway will be completed by the end of 2006 and the construction of many regional and main roads in Serbia and elaboration of numerous projects of municipal and national importance are in progress - said Ilić and added that the investment activity would be especially intensified in Autumn 2006 and in Spring 2007, thanks to, first of all, the means from the National Investment Plan of the Government of Serbia.
