Works started on construction of bypass around Belgrade, Mostogradnja and Planum are contractors
Minister of Capital Investments Velimir Ilić stated that the construction of bypass around Belgrade was the emergent job on which even European Union insisted, because that part of the highway had become bottleneck on Corridor 10. That's why the works worth about 150m EUR started on August 17 on the sector 4 of that project. The job has been given to the consortium of domestic bulding companies led by Mostogradnja and Planum.
The amount of 30m EUR has already been set aside from the National Investment Plan, whereas European Investment Bank (EIB) and European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development (EBRD) promised credit line worth 120m EUR. It is expected that that money will be on the accounts prior to the end of December 2006, so that the deadline of 2 years for completion of works on sector 4 could be met, i.e. four years for constuction of entire bypass.
He sent an appeal to the domestic consortium of building companies led by Mostogradnja and Planum to finish the job prior to the deadline and in quality way, so that it could be their reference for future projects.
