GasTeh opens new EUR 1.7 million production facility in Indjija

Indjija-based GasTeh opened a new production facility worth EUR 1.7 million on Friday (November 23rd).

At the opening ceremony, Branislav Bugarski, the Vojvodina secretary for interregional cooperation and local self-government, welcomed the decision of that domestic company to invest EUR 3 million in production processes and hire over a hundred people.

- This company exports about 40 percent of production in the domain that completely fits in the Vojvodina government's strategy for export promotion - Bugarski said and specified that that was primarily related to the metal, food and automotive industries.

Bugarski also said that the Vojvodina government argued that the Development Bank of Vojvodina should support companies in the province in their further operations and growth.

Ever since it was founded in 2002, GasTeh has been focused on natural and liquefied petroleum gas technologies and gas equipment production. The company was formed by five businessmen who still make up its management. It first operated in a rented space spanning 300 square meters and employed 21 workers.

Three years later GasTeh built its first 1,800 sqm production space and hired another 18 workers.
