Nis-based Global Energy is planning to invest some EUR 3 mil in the construction of mini power plants, Kozji grb and Koviljaca at the Mlava, in Zagubica municipality. Both MPP are connected with a road of 1.525 m, which goes along the right coast of the Mlava river. Nis-based Anker did the project and Cuprija-based water engineering company, Cuprija, is the contactor.

As eKapija finds out, the first mini power plant to be built is Kozji grb. It is situated 7 kilometers upstream the Gornjacka gauge (upstream the Gornjak monastery (. The constriction of mini power plant, Kozji grb, could start in the fall and the construction deadline is 12 months.

Slobodan Grozdanovic, Managing Director at PLAN urban, which carried out the Plan on Detailed Regulation for both MPP, said for our portal that the Plana area was 3.5 kilometers southwest Krepoljin and 18 kilometers west from Zagubica by air.

Plana occupies 76.79 ha.

- Mini power plant Kozji grb is a concrete gravitation dam consisting of flowing part 9 meters wide and four exhausting field with table locks for evacuation of large waters and fishing path. The dam will form artificial accumulation with elevation of normal slow of 183, 5 mnv. The dam creates a slow 3.5 meters high and 546 long. The accumulation volume created thus is B=20.475 m3 – Grozdanovic said.

Koviljaca mini power plant is a concrete gravitation dam as well

- The dam is consisted of flowing part 11 meters wide and four exhausting field with table-like locks for evacuation of large waters, 3 meters each, and a fishing path. The dam will form artificial accumulation with elevation of normal slow of 194, 5 mnv. The dam creates a slow of 8, 5 meters height and 1295 meters long. The accumulation volume created thus is B=68.250 m3.

Speaking of future power plants capacities, Grozdanovic said for our portal that the electricity production over the year changes.

- Continuous work is hard to achieve at MPP, even at other power plants. Some 4.000-5.000 hours per year are attainable. Maximal power of MPP Kozji grb is 560 kW, so that the realistic estimated production is 3.840.000 kWh per year – our interlocutor said.

Maximal power of MPP at Koviljaca is 960 kW, so that the realistic estimated production 2.240.000 kWh per year.

According to the Plan of Detailed Regulation, expect from electric power production, dam will be used for water supplying, watering, preventing from floods, fish growing and, in the zone of the future winter center at Beljanica, for production of essential snow quantity.
