The jewel of Belgrade will be erected in 1 Humska Street!
Namely, it is not a secret any more that the works on the construction of new stadium of FC "Partizan" will start in 2007, but the appearance of the entire project has been under the veil of mistery until recently.
However, the photos of the new black and white temple have appeared in the public on the internet site of Swiss architectural giant "Mob-lab" and his appearance makes you hold your breath! In short, the future stadium looks like a space ship that landed on the Topčider hill.
The aforementioned company from Bern, which was hired by the management of the Belgrade's club, prepared the "space" looks of the new temple of "Partizan", the construction of which, according to the plans, will start on August 1, 2007, on the foundations of the present stadium, which will be torn down until that time. The value of the entire project is about 300m EUR and the construction will last for 2 years.
The new stadium will be erected on 12.5 ha of space, it will be able to hold 36,000 spectators and it will encompass a 5-star hotel, huge trade center beneath the surface of the ground, two-story parking, multiplex cinema, nine tennis courts and about 400 suites.
During the works in 1 Humska Street, the football players of "Partizan" will train and play matches of the national championship on the stadium near Military Grammar School in Belgrade. As far as international matches are concerned, it is not for sure if the "black-and-white" will play on the stadium of OFK Beograd or in Smederevo.
