Belgrade-based hotels "Slavija" and "Intercontinental" to be privatized prior to end of 2006

Minister of Trade and Tourism of Serbia, Bojan Dimitrijević, announced that the Belgrade hotels "Slavija" and "Intercontinental" would be privatized prior to the end of the year 2006.

Besides, at the meeting with the representatives of municipal and local tourism organizations in Serbia, he said that the Public Company for Management of Ski Centers would be put into operation soon. He also said that the Administrative Board of the aforementioned company had been formed and the Statute adopted.

Dimitrijević pointed out that that company had already obtained necessary means and that it would start activities prior to the end of the year 2006. It will deal with the investment plans, construction, reconstruction, equipping of ski centers, management, supervision, rental and preparation of study works in field of mountain tourism.

- The agreement has been reached with "Genex" on takeover of the ski center on Kopaonik and, later, on Stara mountain, where two ski lifts will be built soon - said Dimitrijević.
