The National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED) and the Broadcasting Corporation of Serbia (RTS) signed Wednesday in Belgrade a cooperation agreement to launch a campaign aimed at improving the economic environment in Serbia - "Ask When."

As it was said at the signing ceremony, the campaign will start in June and end in December 2012. In that period, RTS will be showing short videos about various bureaucracy issues that the Serbian economy is facing, and it will also inform the public on the significance of implementation of regulatory reforms.

The first video to be shown will deal with the difficulties that a pregnant woman face when trying to exercise her right to maternity leave and associated benefits.

As Chairman of the NALED Managing Board Vladimir Cupic explained, the aim of the "Ask When" campaign, which is being implemented with the support of the USAID Business Enabling Project and the Open Society Foundation, is to draw the attention of the public and exert pressure on competent authorities to promise which bureaucracy issues will be resolved and when.

He said that both businessmen and citizens can use NALED's website to report complicated procedures standing in the way to their operations and functioning.
