Ukrainians not giving up Zelezara Smederevo - Donetsk Steel submits bid for steelworks
Ukraine's Donetsk Steel submitted Wednesday a bid to become a Zelezara Smederevo's strategic partner, Blic daily reports. Another bid was submitted last week by the Russian-Czech consortium United Group, owned by Igor Shamis from Russia.
According to Blic, people at the Serbian government are currently more fond of Shamis, the owner of the consortium comprising Czech's Plzen Steel and Russia's Bumash.
Representatives of Ukraine's Donetsk Steel did not want to give any comment to Blic on their intentions for the Serbian steel mill, but they confirmed their interest.
