One company bought the documentation for a strategic partner of Smederevo steel plant, and "Blic" finds out that this is a consortium "United Group" consisting of the Russian "Bumaš" and Czech "Plzen Steel."

The Moscow office of Igor Samis, the owner of the consortium, which was negotiating directly with Serbian officials during the previous month, stated for "Blic" that Samis did not want to talk to newspapers at the time when there was an ongoing procedure for the sale of Steel plant.

Otherwise, "Bumaš" engaged in the production of steel strips and forgings already participated in the Serbian privatization. In consortium with other Russian company "Rosmaštorg" with 5 million EUR it has won the tender for the purchase of "PRVA PETOLETKA" from Trstenik. Immediately afterwards, in January 2009, they withdrew from the purchase of domestic manufacturers of hydraulics and pneumatics, justifying themselves with the global financial crisis.

Ministry of Finance announced, based on the conclusion of the Serbian Government, a public call for a strategic partner for the "Smederevo Steel Plant," and the deadline for submission of final binding offers is 4th of May. Applications can be submitted no later than 27 April to 16 hours of our time, and the deadline for submission of final binding bids for the selection of strategic partners is the 4 May to 16 hours.
