(Velin Ilic, former Director General)
As of today, Velin Ilic is no longer Director General of Alfa Plam, the biggest manufacturer of heating appliances in Serbia.
By the decision of the Board of Directors, Goran Kostic from British American Tobacco (BAT) from Vranje has been appointed as new Director General of Alfa Plam, while new Executive Director is Branislav Popovic, former director of Privredna Banka's branch office in Vranje.
This decision was made yesterday by the company's shareholders at a regular session of the Assembly, at which new organization acts were adopted and new members were appointed to the Board of Directors.
Zoran Cicak from Belgrade-based Alfa Invest is appointed as Chairman of the seven-member Board of Directors.
Velin Ilic has been working at Alfa Plam for 34 years - since 1978, spending exactly 25 years in the position of Director General. During that time, Alfa Plam has grown into the most stable and the most prospective company in the south of Serbia.
Goran Kostic, new Director General, was born in 1971. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Nis in 1996 and worked at BAT since 2001.
With 800 workers, Alfa Plam is today the largest manufacturer of heating appliances in Serbia and the fifth largest in Europe. Last year Alfa Plam delivered 160,000 heating appliances to its buyers, 65% of which to the markets of Germany, Austria, Italy and former Yugoslav republics.
