Chinese company wants to build new Marakana
A large company from China wants to invest in the construction of a new football stadium of Serbia's runner-up team, but it takes much time to issue a permit for the reconstruction of Marakana.
- It is true that the Chinese want to invest in the construction of a new stadium. They first contacted the China Chamber of Commerce, which then asked the Serbia Chamber of Commerce to contact us. Their representative visited Marakana a month ago and saw its potential - says Crvena Zvezda Secretary General Djordje Stefanovic.
He says that the interest has also been expressed by other companies.
- There are several other potential investors interested in building a world-class football stadium in Belgrade. Aside from benefiting investors, that would also benefit the club, the city and the state - Stefanovic explains in an interview with Alo! Sprint sports daily.
