Government of Serbia decided to have the building of General Staff, which was demolished during the NATO bombing in 1999, reconstructed. Rehabilitation of this facility will be financed from the Republic budget. After five years of uncertainty concerning destiny of "left and right side of the Sutjeska", how people used to call the facilities A and B of this building, i.e. building of General Staff and Ministry of Defense, Government decided to allot it to the Administration of Justice after it is completed.
Although very damaged, this building is one of the most attractive locations in Belgrade and there are many foreing investors who are interested in it. According to the opinion of the experts, 27,000 square meters, divided into two blocks, are now worth about 45 million USD. According to the first estimates, the facility A is much more damaged and it was planned to be torn down, whereas facility B is less damaged.
