People at Skijalista Srbije announce that the ski season at Tornik is opening the next weekend. Nenad Maksimovic, manager of that ski resort, says that the price of ski pass will be cut by 20% on December 24 and 25.

Hotel keepers and owners of private accommodation units on Zlatibor mountain will also lower their prices by 20 to 30% during the ski season opening weekend.

That weekend all skiers will be able to take a free ride on a bus operated by the Zlatibor Tourism Organization from Uzice or Zlatibor to the ski resort Tornik, which is nine kilometers away from the tourist center of Zlatibor.

The regular price of a daily ski pass for Tornik ski resort this winter will be RSD 1,050 for children and RSD 1,450 for adults, while the price of a seven-day ski pass for children and adults will amount to RSD 4,250 and RSD 6,800, respectively.

By the way, it has been snowing on Zlatibor since Monday (19 December 2011), and the snow cover on ski runs at Tornik ski resort is about 20 centimeters thick.

- Our artificial snowing system has also been in full use since Monday on all four ski runs: Cigota, Tornik, Ribnica and Zmajevac. Everything works without a problem, and we have enough water to make artificial snow - Maksimovic told Tanjug news agency.
